1. This agreement
These terms apply between you and EthioPrep when you use EthioPrep. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf — and if a guardian or school created your account, they already have.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details when you sign up.
- Keep your password or login code to yourself. Anything done with your account is treated as done by you.
- One account per person. Sharing an account defeats the diagnosis, because it measures one student.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Schools and guardians are responsible for the accounts they create, including making sure they are entitled to create an account for that student.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, republish or resell our questions, explanations or past-paper content.
- Share your account, or sell access to it.
- Try to break, overload or probe the service, or bypass any access control.
- Upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Use the platform to cheat in a live examination.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where we can, we will tell you why first.
4. Content and accuracy
Official past-paper questions are reproduced for study. Practice questions are generated from the official textbooks and verified before publication — numeric answers by running the calculation, everything else by human review.
We work hard to be accurate, but we do not guarantee that every item is free of error, and nothing here is an official statement of the examination board. Predicted readiness is an estimate from your own practice, not a forecast of your result. If you find a mistake, flag it in the app — that is the fastest way to get it fixed for everyone.
5. Plans and payment
- All grades from 9 to 12 are included in every plan, including the free one. Plans differ by features, never by grade.
- Prices are shown in ETB and charged through Chapa.
- A monthly plan runs for 30 days. A season pass runs to the end of the current ESSLCE exam season.
- A family or school plan grants its tier to the students in that group, up to the number of seats bought.
- Cancelling stops future charges. It does not remove a seat someone else is paying for on your behalf.
Refunds are covered separately in our refund policy.
6. Affiliates
If you join the affiliate programme, commission is earned only on payments that actually clear, is approved by us before it becomes payable, and is reversed if the underlying payment is refunded. Self-referral is not permitted and each referred account is attributed to one affiliate only. We may suspend an affiliate whose activity looks manipulative, and we will explain why.
7. Availability
We aim to keep EthioPrep available at all times, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will tell you.
8. Who owns what
We own the platform, the software, and the practice content we create. You own what you write — your answers and your messages. You grant us permission to process that content to run the service and to compute your results, which is exactly what you signed up for.
9. Liability
EthioPrep is a study tool. We are not liable for examination results, admissions decisions, or anything that follows from them. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Ending this agreement
You can close your account at any time. We can close or suspend an account that breaches these terms, or if we stop operating the service. If we close a paid account without cause before its term ends, we refund the unused portion.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and the courts of Addis Ababa have jurisdiction. Talk to us first — write to support@ethioprep.et and we will try to resolve it without either of us going near a court.
